Fall of Saigon – April 30, 1975

A North Vietnamese tank rolls through the gate of the Presidential Palace in Saigon, marking the fall of South Vietnam to Communist forces on April 30, 1975. Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City, and the country was unified under Communist rule.
